Our forests \u2013 community involvement and climate action!<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Joy, unity, ownership, commitment, enthusiasm, pride and learning - these are words that fill the air around our forests. Especially when we are together, and in a festive way, inaugurate the new forests with speeches, singing and joint hand planting of the last trees. These events are more than just fun and togetherness about planting - they are a tribute to everyone who has contributed: landowners, sponsors, politicians, local citizens, associations and not least the children.<\/p>\n

Our forests are created with a focus on the next generation. The majority are planted over important aquifers to ensure that we can all \u2013 today and in the future \u2013 enjoy clean drinking water directly from the tap.<\/p>\n

The forests we plant are not about carbon credits. It is about safeguarding our common values:<\/p>\n

  • Clean drinking water<\/li>\n
  • Rich nature and biodiversity<\/li>\n
  • Public health<\/li>\n
  • And not least: to contribute to the fight against global climate change<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The type of forest is determined by the owner of the land, but always with native tree species. They exist in many sizes - from small forests on disused football fields to large projects of several hundred hectares in collaboration with the Danish Nature Agency. All forests are granted permanent status to ensure long-term protection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Often, the price of land is the largest single investment, accounting for 70-80% of the total cost. Therefore, many of the largest forests arise as a result of cooperation between the Danish Nature Agency, municipalities and local waterworks that finance land purchases. We find the sponsors for the trees so that the forest can be created.<\/p>\n

    We make it possible for sponsors to support exactly the project that matters most to them. We are the only ones to offer afforestation projects in collaboration with both the Danish Nature Agency, municipalities, churches, waterworks and private landowners. And remember - it is always free to participate in public forest inaugurations, also for corporate sponsors and their network.<\/p>\n

    Our forests are created when we all join forces!<\/p>\n

    In South America and Africa<\/strong>, we prioritize afforestation projects with a socio-economic focus, run by Danish organizations locally present. This ensures close communication, ongoing follow-up and documentation for the benefit of our sponsors.<\/p>\n

    The socio-economic focus means that the local population is actively involved, has access to work, food, the sale of raw materials and education in climate-friendly tree planting. This improves living conditions and makes it possible for many to stay in their home area.<\/p>\n

    Our flexible set-up means that we can initiate new projects together with our partners when sponsors show interest.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
