Siemens Energy and Siemens Gemesa has partnered with the Growing Trees Network Foundation since 2022 as part of Energy4Good, the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy.
Trees donated in total: 43,440
Through reforestation efforts in Ecuador, the initiative contributes to ecosystem restoration, biodiversity protection, and the empowerment of local communities. It also recognizes the importance of balsa wood—an essential material in wind turbine blade manufacturing—and reflects Siemens Energy’s commitment to returning to nature the bounty it provides us.
This project is part of the broader initiative “Forests of Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa,” a sustainable development program aimed at mitigating climate change and reducing CO₂ emissions. Since its inception in fiscal year 2021, the initiative has led to the planting of 38 forests and approximately 280,000 trees in 18 countries.
The project reinforces Siemens Energy’s values around transparency, innovation, and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
