CEO Kim Nielsen speaking at conference in Brussels

17. June 2025

Scaling nature restoration & community participation is the headline of Life Terra’s conference on June 19 in Brussels. The conference is a round table presentation/discussion consisting of 3 sessions:

1. Round table 1 – Successes & challenges of scaling reforestation projects in Europe.
2. Round table 2 – Nature-Based Solutions for the Future: building a European carbon removal and biodiversity credit market
3. Round table 3 – The Importance of Community Involvement in Tree planting activities

According to the EU’s 3 billion trees pledge, the goal is to have 3 billion trees planted by 2030. As the title suggests, the purpose of the conference is to focus on what it takes to achieve this goal and what are the obstacles. Therefore, Life Terra has invited the largest private afforestation organizations in Europe to shed light on what is needed. Kim participates in round table 1.

Thanks to Life Terra for the invitation. In May, we had the pleasure of having them with us at the inauguration of the People’s Forest in Nordskoven near Slagelse together with the Danish Nature Agency and Slagelse Municipality.
